When I was appointed chair of the school council at the beginning of this year I was very pleased to have been chosen, and have my passion for the school recognised. However, I was also a bit daunted by the task ahead of me. But thanks to the dedication and commitment of the representatives, we have managed to achieve a number of things, including carrying out the first of many plans to expand the house system and increase its value. One of the ways this has been achieved is by writing and organising quizzes. It is through ideas like this that we hope to improve daily life at Rushmoor in some small way.
Due to a successful morning fundraising at the winter fayre, however, we will be able to make some slightly larger improvements to the school as a whole as well as continuing to represent the student body which is such an integral part of Rushmoor.
I personally believe the family atmosphere at the school means that the students are increasingly vocal and positive about the school and any suggestions they may have for improving it, making my job and the job of the representatives all the easier.
