Every year bursaries will be available for pupils who are joining Rushmoor School. Priority will be given to pupils in Year 1 or above. These bursaries are awarded to pupils who, due to financial constraints, would not otherwise be able to attend Rushmoor and who would particularly benefit from attending the school. A pupil who is the subject of an Award is required to work hard, to contribute positively to the life of the School, to be a credit to the School and to set a good example to other pupils.

Bursaries are awards based on individual circumstances and are made in March/April of each year for commencement at the start of the following academic year. Parents wishing to be considered for such places should notify the Business Manager as soon as possible and before the 31st January in the year of entry. Late applications will be considered at the Governors' discretion.

Rushmoor School is committed to maintaining broad access for talented pupils who would benefit from an education at an independent school by offering financial support with the payment of fees to parents who are otherwise unable to afford them.

On entry pupils may be offered a scholarship to recognise academic, sporting, musical or artistic achievements and/or potential. Scholarships may carry a nominal fee reduction of up to 15%; however, a small number of “Awards” may carry reductions of up to 25% in recognition of exceptional excellence in a particular area or areas.

Rushmoor School reserves the right to review a scholarship award if a pupil’s conduct or achievements fall short of expected standards.

The Application Process

Parents may apply for a scholarship in writing to the School Business Manager. Details of the scholarship application are available from the School Office. All  applications must be completed fully and returned no later than the closing date which is 31st January each year for entry the following September.

In the assessment process the School will assess all applications and may request a meeting with parents to ensure that the information declared has been correctly interpreted and, therefore, that the assessment has been carried out in a fair and consistent manner.
